Headteacher highlights teacher recruitment, salary and training issues
Primary school Headteacher David Block claimed it was hard to recruit adequate staff in London because of issues with salaries in inner-city areas and because of the standard of teacher training.
Education Secretary Michael Gove announced today that schools unable to meet new targets risk being taken over and run by a neighbouring academy.
But Mr Block said he would not be willing to take on a neighbouring failing school as "there are not enough hours in the day".
