Middle class and middle income in tough economic times

Are middle class aspirations of home ownership, a foreign holiday and sending teenagers to university moving out of reach of those on middle incomes?

David Thompson spoke to pollster Deborah Mattinson of Britain Thinks, and Sarah Sands of the London Evening Standard, asking how squeezes on pay and pensions are affecting the middle class.

The film was shown on TV and followed by a debate between Mary Ann Sieghart and George Galloway on what salary levels make people middle class.
