MP Whittingdale 'appalled' by Fifa corruption claims

Culture Select Committee chairman John Whittingdale has said he is appalled at allegations of corruption in football's world governing body, and at what he described as Fifa's apparent unwillingness to investigate them.

Mr Whittingdale, a Conservative MP, is calling for an investigation as part of a probe by MPs into England's failed bid to host the World Cup in 2018.
