Phone hacking: Vaz on John Yates Sunday Telegraph interview
The chairman of the Home Affairs Select Committee criticised the decision of Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner John Yates not to reply to him in time for a deadline, but to air his views on the phone hacking in the Sunday Telegraph.
Keith Vaz said it "raised questions about judgement" and added: "I don't think this is good from such a senior member of the Metropolitan Police."
Former Shadow Home Secretary David Davis was not impressed with a previous police reaction they did not enough staff to investigate the hacking claims.
