Mayoral candidates clash over transport fares

The candidates for the London mayoral election have had a fiery debate over their respective transport and economic plans.

Labour's former mayor Ken Livingstone has promised to reduce fares, but current mayor Boris Johnson attacked the funding of the pledge.

The Lib Dem's Brian Paddick and Green Party's Jenny Jones also set out their policies during Newsnight's London mayoral special programme.
