David Cameron admits to a difficult couple of months

The Prime Minister has admitted his government has had a couple of bad months and said it must raise its game.

David Cameron insisted getting the finances back on track remained his top priority, but said his government was not just a bunch of accountants and had a vision for a better future.

Mr Cameron made his comments as government departments were told to identify billions of pounds of further savings in order to deal with unforseen events.
