PMQs: William Hague takes swipe at absent Ed Balls

William Hague carried on David Cameron's mantle for taking a swipe at Ed Balls during prime minister's questions.

The foreign secretary, standing in for Mr Cameron, suggested the missing shadow chancellor was conducting another opinion poll to find out what people think of him, but teased: "We could have told them that for nothing."

He was answering a question about the health service from Harriet Harman, and also spoke against Thursday's planned action by GPs and criticised support for it from shadow public health minister Diane Abbott.
