David Cameron announces new laws for banks

Prime Minister David Cameron has announced the government will bring in new legislation for the UK's banking sector, in the wake of the revelation that some Barclays traders rigged the key lending rate between banks.

Speaking in Brussels, Mr Cameron said banks needed to be properly regulated, and trust in them restored.

He added: ''We need to go further, and we will''.
