Sir Menzies Campbell's pre-race tipple

Sir Menzies Campbell, who was one of the fastest sprinters on earth in the 1960s, went on the become leader of the UK's third largest political party, the Liberal Democrats.

He explains here, for BBC Parliament's First Past the Post documentary, the rather unusual food and drink his mother used to give him before his 100m and 200m races.
