Conservative conference: UK faces 'hour of reckoning'
Prime Minister David Cameron will warn that the UK "may not have a future" unless "difficult, painful decisions" are taken, when he closes the Conservative Party Conference on Wednesday.
Mr Cameron will tell Tory activists that the UK is in a global race, and has to cut its budget deficit or face long-term decline.
The conference in Birmingham has been overshadowed by the news that the IMF has downgraded Britain's growth forecast.
