Lord Ashcroft tells Labour 'I'm a proud tax avoider'

Former Conservative Party Treasurer Lord Ashcroft has told a Labour fringe meeting that he is a "proud" tax avoider.

Sharing a platform with senior Labour Party figures, Lord Ashcroft, who until 2010 was not domiciled in the UK for tax purposes, explained that he donated his liable income to charity each year instead.
