Caroline Flint: Labour plans for trusted energy market
Labour's energy plans would lead to a "more competitive market, one that can be trusted", said the shadow energy and climate change secretary.
Caroline Flint said its planned regulator would have the power to make companies pass on falls in the wholesale prices to customers, but it would not be given the wider-ranging price control powers seen in some European countries.
She said the changes would give "some respite from ever-climbing bills while we get our reforms through Parliament".
