Unions protest outside Tory conference

As many as 50,000 people gathered outside the Conservative Party conference in Manchester to take part in a union protest against cuts, police estimate.

Many were signalling their anger at changes to the NHS, ahead of Jeremy Hunt's speech on Tuesday, while others angry at cutbacks in other public services.
