Owen Paterson: 'Room for improvement' for flood response

The Environment Secretary Owen Paterson has outlined how flood management is a priority for the government.

Speaking in the House of Commons, Mr Paterson explained how he chaired a Cobra emergency meeting to ensure agencies were ready to respond.

He highlighted that, while some companies responded "effectively", the response of a few "left room for improvement".
