Plaid Cymru leader: Welsh independence 'still far off'

There is an "appetite" in Wales for greater a devolution of powers, Plaid Cymru leader Leanne Wood has said.

Ms Wood nevertheless admitted that the country is still at a different stage to Scotland in its journey towards independence.

Speaking to the Today programme in the run-up to the EU elections, she added that Plaid Cymru is defending Wales from becoming further "marginalised".

First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Friday 16 May.
