Ed Miliband: 'I relish the next 10 months'

Ed Miliband has mounted a defence of his leadership of the Labour Party after a poll suggested more voters think his brother David would make a better prime minister.

Mr Miliband told reporters at the launch of a new policy aimed at combating youth unemployment he was ready for next year's general election: "I took this job - and I fought for this job - because I had something distinctive to say about how we change this country... and I relish the next 10 months, I relish the next 10 months".
