BBC Rewind: 1983 SDP-Liberal Alliance manifesto

The manifesto for the first general election fought by the SDP-Liberal Alliance was titled 'Working Together For Britain: A joint programme for Government'.

It featured pledges on electoral reform, reduced unemployment, a single welfare benefit and an industrial democracy act.
