Paris attacks: David Cameron tells France 'your pain is our pain'

Prime Minister David Cameron has warned that "we must be prepared for a number of British casualties" from the Paris atrocity, as he condemned what he called the "brutal and callous murderers".

He said the UK's official terrorism threat level would remain at "severe".

Mr Cameron was speaking at Downing Street after chairing a meeting of the government's Cobra emergency committee.

Speaking briefly in French, Mr Cameron said the UK stood with the French people.
