Brexit: Hammond tells McDonnell 'support May in negotiations'

Chancellor Philip Hammond has defended the government's refusal to reveal its plan for Brexit.

Appearing on the Andrew Marr Show alongside Labour's John McDonnell, he said MPs should support Theresa May in her negotiations.

The pair then moved on to discuss the issue of welfare spending, with John McDonnell urging Philip Hammond to reverse cuts to universal credit in full.
