Labour has questioned why Work and Pensions Secretary David Gauke was not in the Commons for an emergency debate on universal credit.

Debbie Abrahams said she had not had a "satisfactory response" from the minister - who led for the government in a debate on the same issue a week ago - regarding his absence.
