Political primates: James Tilley and Iain Duncan Smith

A professor of politics reckons chimps demonstrate many of the same political instincts as some of those in Westminster.

After a clip from primatologist Frans de Waal, radio presenter James Tilley looked at how both groups plot and form coalitions, while former Conservative leader Iain Duncan Smith was asked if he could see any connections.

Primate Politics is on the BBC Radio iPlayer, and will be repeated on BBC Radio 4 on Sunday 12 November, from 21:30 GMT.
