Priti Patel on Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill
The home secretary says Labour will be voting against “crucial measures” to support victims of violent crime.
Ahead of the debate in the Commons on the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill, Priti Patel said it would “end the half-way release” of those convicted for sexual offences. A vote is due on Tuesday.
She had been speaking to MPs about the reaction to the death of Sarah Everard and the reaction to policing at a vigil in south London.
