Alex Salmond warns UK spending cuts are ''too fast''

The First Ministers of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have issued a joint declaration attacking the UK government's spending plans.

They say the coalition's cuts are "too fast and too deep" and may put the economic recovery at risk.

Scotland's First Minister, Alex Salmond, said he hoped the unanimous declaration, made by five different political parties, would make a difference.
