Sturgeon: Edinburgh Royal Infirmary power cut unacceptable

Health Secretary Nicola Sturgeon has urged the firm behind the latest power cut at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary "to get its act together".

Workers for the PFI provider Consort accidentally cut the hospital's power supply in March forcing surgeons to complete an operation by torchlight.

NHS Lothian is now taking legal advice and said it "can no longer tolerate" power cuts at the hospital.
