Score system means ice skating could be Paralympic sport

Ice skating is a mainstay of the Winter Olympic Games but has never been part of the Paralympics.

Many people with physical and learning disabilities do skate but until now there has been no means of judging one against another.

The situation could change if a new scoring system invented in Scotland, and being tested in Dumfries, proves successful.
