Suicide risk: 'Society could do more'

Kirsty Keay, manager of the suicide prevention national programme at SAMH, said services for those at risk of suicide could be improved.

Ms Keay said the use of police cells for those at risk of suicide was unacceptable but noted it was the often the only option police were left with to keep someone safe.
