Irvine redevelopment 'controversial'

Scotland's new towns of the 40s, 50s and 60s were meant to be bold visions of the future.

The scheme will see one of the new town's iconic buildings demolished which has angered some campaigners.

BBC Scotland's local government correspondent Jamie McIvor reports.
