Victims' rights bill backed by Scottish Parliament committee

A new bill to improve the experience of victims and witnesses in the justice system in Scotland has been backed by Holyrood's justice committee.

The MSPs approved proposals which include keeping victims of crimes informed about their case in language they can understand.
