Fire clears Edinburgh city centre street

Emergency services have been attending a fire in central Edinburgh.

The city's Castle street has been closed off. The fire is thought to have started in the kitchen of a branch of the TGI Friday's restaurant chain just before 13:00.

The restaurant and neighbouring buildings have been evacuated while firefighters attempt to bring the blaze under control.

There have been no reports of any injuries or threat to people.
