Scottish Independence: Leaders react to referendum verdict

Scotland has voted to stay in the United Kingdom after voters decisively rejected independence.

First Minister Alex Salmond said: "I call on all of Scotland to follow suit in accepting the democratic verdict of the people of Scotland".

UK Prime Minister David Cameron said he was delighted that the UK would remain together and called for national unity.
