Beams lifted into place over North Calder Water

Construction work has begun on the largest single span bridge in a £500m transport project in North Lanarkshire.

Footage shows huge beams being positioned over the North Calder Water.

The scheme is part of the M8 M73 M74 Motorway Improvements Project which will reduce journey times on the motorway network throughout Central Scotland.
