Wales floods: Weather conditions improving, Environment Agency says

Hundreds of people in north Wales have spent the night away from their homes after properties across Denbighshire and Conwy were hit by severe flooding on Tuesday.

An elderly woman was found dead in a flooded house in St Asaph.

Residents on a housing estate in Ruthin have questioned why a flood prevention scheme failed to protect their homes.

Graham Hillier, the Environment Agency's flood risk manger for Wales, told Felicity Evans of BBC Radio Wales that conditions were improving.
