Roman fortress planned at Hope with £200,000 deal

A Flintshire man says he is a step closer to realising plans to turn a disused quarry into an authentic 1st Century Roman fortress.

Roman re-enactor Paul Harston from Caergwrle has secured £200,000 to secure land at Hope on the Wrexham-Flintshire boarder to start work, subject to planning approval.
