Rowecord staff shock at steel firm collapse

Administrators at Wales' largest steel contractor have confirmed around 430 jobs will be lost.

Rowecord Engineering in Newport was behind some high profile projects around the UK such as the roof of the aquatic centre at the Olympic park.

The general economic climate and losses on some recent contracts have been blamed.

Rowecord workers say they were shocked by the company's collapse.

BBC Wales' business correspondent Nick Servini reports.
