Legal aid: Lawyers in Wales in strike action talks

Solicitors and barristers from across Wales are meeting in Cardiff to discuss possible walkouts or strike action over proposals to reform legal aid.

The UK government says the current system costs £2bn a year and is not sustainable.

But barristers are warning the proposed changes could result in thousands of job cuts in the Welsh legal system and could leave some of the most vulnerable without access to justice.
