Miliband opens Senghenydd mining disaster exhibition

An exhibition commemorating the Senghenydd mining disaster has been opened by Labour leader Ed Miliband at the House of Commons.

The explosion 100 years ago at Universal Colliery, near Caerphilly, claimed 440 lives making it the worst mining disaster in Welsh and British history.

A national mining memorial will be situated close to the colliery site.
