Llanelli RainScape tackles surface water to ease floods

A water company is investing £15m in Carmarthenshire as part of an innovative scheme to manage surface water and help reduce the risk of flooding.

Dwr Cymru Welsh Water's RainScape initiative will reduce the amount of rainwater which flows into local public drainage systems in the Llanelli area.

Fergus O'Brien, coastal waters manager for Dwr Cymru, told BBC Radio Wales why the scheme was needed.
