MP calls for UK government to make EU flood cash bid

A Welsh MP is calling on the UK government to apply for £100m of EU cash to pay for flood repairs.

Swansea West Labour MP Geraint Davies said Prime Minister David Cameron should not put "political reasons" ahead of the needs of devastated communities.

Welsh Secretary David Jones has previously said he doubted EU funds would be available.

Mr Davies spoke to Oliver Hides at Radio Wales.
