'Help job hunters move' call prompts Merthyr bus trip

The think-tank the Centre for Social Justice is suggesting that the government help the long term unemployed to move towns if they have been offered a job.

The centre was founded by Iain Duncan Smith, the work and pensions secretary.

Back in 2010 during the recession, Mr Duncan Smith suggested that people living in Merthyr Tydfil who were struggling to find work should take the bus to Cardiff.

BBC social affairs correspondent Michael Buchanan took up Mr Duncan's Smith's challenge and took the bus from Merthyr.
