Patient, 77, left in hot ambulance vehicle 'faints'

A 77-year-old patient with diabetes claims he fainted after being left in an ambulance car outside a hospital for 20 minutes in hot temperatures.

Mr Richards says he was too frail to open the door or to summon help and eventually passed out.

The Welsh Ambulance Service says it is concerned about the way Mr Richards, from Old Colwyn, Conwy, was being cared for after a hospital appointment.

Chris Dearden reports.
