Kajaki: Stu Hale's hope Afghan film will have lasting impact

A soldier from Monmouth who was rescued from a minefield in Afghanistan says he hopes a new film telling the story will give people an insight into how difficult the conflict was.

L/Cpl Stu Hale stood on a landmine in 2006 and lost his leg. Four others were injured and one died during his rescue.

Their story is the basis for the new film, which tells how the group became marooned in the middle of a minefield and the dangerous and complicated operation to save them.

Paul Heaney reports.
