Land and seascape artist John Knapp-Fisher dies aged 83

Pembrokeshire-based artist John Knapp-Fisher has died at the age of 83.

Known for his use of oil and watercolour, his landscape and seascape paintings were inspired by his surroundings in south west Wales.

Born in London in 1931, he moved to west Wales in the 1960s and opened his studio there in 1967.

Mr Knapp-Fisher died at Withybush General Hospital in Haverfordwest after being ill for some time but kept painting and sketching until recently.

BBC Wales' Carwyn Jones spoke to Dr Ceri Thomas, curator of art at the University of South Wales, and gallery owner Martin Tinney about the artist.
