Velothon's 12,000 riders, 50,000 spectators and eight brides

About 12,000 riders will take part in Sunday's Velothon, making it the UK's third biggest sportive.

Cheered on by 50,000 spectators, amateur cyclists will take on a 140km (87m) route followed by professionals riding 194km (120m).

About 200,000 letters have been sent to residents warning of road closures while organisers will help get eight brides to the church.

Gwyndaf Hughes looks at some of the facts and figures.
