Glanrhyd: 30 years since Carmarthenshire rail disaster

It is exactly 30 years since a railway bridge near Llandeilo collapsed, plunging a passenger train into the River Towy in Carmarthenshire.

The Glanrhyd bridge disaster killed four people - three passengers and the train driver - when a torrent of water washed away part of the bridge foundations on Monday, 19 October 1987.

Archive footage shows the extent of the disaster.
