Newport war veterans served Christmas meal by ONS boss

Almost 150 war veterans and elderly people were served a Christmas lunch by the UK's top statistician.

Now in its seventh year, the lunch was organised by Office for National Statistics employee Liz Buttigieg.

Volunteers serving the food at the ONS headquarters in Newport included the UK’s national statistician John Pullinger and his deputy Iain Bell.
