Male whale seeks female to take plunge

A humpback whale has put on a spectacular show in waters off Australia's north Queensland coast.

The whale repeatedly jumped out of the water, twisting and slapping its tail in what is believed to be a way of attracting female attention.

Humpback whales are in northern waters to breed, before they head south to the colder waters off Antarctica in September.
