Brazil set for inauguration of first woman president

Brazil's first woman president will be inaugurated in a ceremony today in the capital Brasilia.

Dilma Rousseff takes over from Luis Inacio Lula da Silva, who has been the most popular president in the country's history.

Mrs Rousseff is a former Marxist guerrilla and trained economist who was Lula's cabinet chief before she decided to run to succeed him.

She won the presidential election in October with 55% of the vote.

BBC correspondents in China, the US, India and South Africa assess how her presidency may affect their relations with Brazil.
