'Hopes' accompany UN Syria mission

More observers are arriving in Damascus today to oversee the UN peace plan put forward by special envoy Kofi Annan. Christina Markus Lassen is the Danish ambassador based in Damascus, one of only nine EU ambassadors left in the capital.

She told The World At One's Martha Kearney that she hopes the UN mission, expected to be 300-strong, will help to establish a ceasefire between government and opposition forces in the country.
