Exchanges at the Frontier: Frances Ashcroft
Frances Ashcroft's work on the ion channels that wire up the body has won her this year's L'Oreal Unesco Prize for International Women in Science.
On Thursday 6 December at 19:00 she talks to A.C.Grayling and a London audience about the role of the electricity in the human body and explains how an understanding of electricity could avert heart attacks and cure diabetes. People will be joining the conversation from all over the world via online video connections.
She will be talking about how the body is powered by electricity, from consciousness to to the beating of our hearts.
