Syrian refugee: Let Assad 'tear us into pieces'

A Syrian woman has claimed she would rather die in the hands of President Bashar-Al Assad's regime than live another day as a refugee.

She made the comments whilst waiting to have her unconscious five year old son treated for fever and stomach pain in the Zaatari refugee camp.

Zaatari in Jordan was first opened on in July 2012 and is currently home to over 100,000 refugees.

She told Phil Mackie on BBC Radio 5 live's Breakfast, "Let us go back to Bashar, let him kill us and tear us into pieces... Better than living here."
